House Concert Auction II. This time Ryan's bringing the band.
Starting TODAY, the Ryan Montbleau Band is auctioning off five separate opportunities for you to have the band play at your home (or wherever you like) over July 4th weekend of 2011. The five dates are:
• Thursday, June 30th
• Friday, July 1st
• Saturday, July 2nd
• Sunday, July 3rd
• Monday, July 4th
The band is willing to work with you on whatever show is appropriate for your "venue" -- fully electric, acoustic, full band, trio, solo, afternoon, evening, late night, whatever works for you. And we will play anywhere you like -- your backyard, your living room, on the kitchen table, it's up to you.
*** Due to logistical realities, we can only guarantee that the full, 6-piece band will play for winning bids in the Northeastern U.S. – All of New England and as far west as Pittsburgh and as far south as Washington, D.C. All winning bids must be from within the contiguous 48 states, and any bids outside of the defined Northeastern territory will be solo-acoustic with Ryan only, unless special arrangements can be made. ***
100% of the proceeds from this auction will go toward the release of the new Ryan Montbleau record, due out in September of 2011.
What new record?
On May 9th, Ryan went into Fudge Recording Studio in New Orleans, LA and recorded ten new tracks with a legendary crew of musicians: George Porter, Jr. on bass, Ivan Neville on keys, Anders Osborne on guitar, and Simon Lott on drums. Ben Ellman of Galactic produced the album, which will include several new originals as well as some cover songs and maybe even an old favorite or two.

It was a house-concert auction in 2009 that made possible the release of "Heavy on the Vine." Still a completely independent artist, Ryan will use 100% of the proceeds from these new auctions to allow this new record to see the light of day. Interested in contributing directly?
